2 Easy, Fun & Cheap Mental Health Crafts to Try Right Now!

Scrappy Flower Inspired Crafts are easy and fun to do, as well as low cost. Crafts that you can actually do is important, so you can quickly begin to benefit from the positive impact crafts can have on your everyday life. So, here are some YouTube Videos that I’ve enjoyed and used in my Mental Health Breaks, which I hope will also help inspire you take a break a do a craft for your personal wellness.

There’s no excuse not try a scrappy flower craft right now! Grab some paper from the recycling bin, scribble on it with pens or markers and give paper flower making a shot. Or visit your local dollar store to pick up some supplies and spend the afternoon having a fun, and much needed, Mental Health Craft Break.

2. Try Watercolor Painting for a Relaxing and Fun Afternoon!

Painting may seem intimidating or expensive, but grab a cheap watercolor set and some brushes from the dollar store and find a YouTube video that looks fun and give it a shot!

I love how cute this bird turned out. It’s definitely getting a frame and going on my wall. I had a great time learning how to watercolor paint during my mental health craft break that day:

I also tried my hand at painting faces. I think I’m better at flowers and birds LOL.

I really enjoyed this tutorial and the instructor’s focus on “Don’t Over Think It!”, Have fun instead!

Circles Of Calm Watercolor Painting – Art Therapy with Sana

I haven’t tried this video, yet but just watching the artist make “circles of calm” was an enjoyable enough time that helped me destress and unwind. If you try this video, please share! I’d love to see!
