Try these 2 Morning Activities for 30 Minutes for a Better Start to your Monday

Last week, I shared how crafting is a great way to get the day kickstarted. My day is always better whenever I do some crafting. However, I can’t always squeeze crafting into a busy morning. But I ALWAYS make sure I do yoga and qigong every morning after coffee.

So, this when this Monday morning was proving to be a tough start for me to get going. I felt like a walking zombie until l I got to my yoga and Qigong routine!

Add a 30 minute morning Stretching Routine to make you feel less of a zombie!

I start doing a 20 – 30 minute morning stretching routine everyday a few years ago, and it has been one of the best ways to invigorate my body and get me ready to go for the day! I have lost a ton of weight, and have learned how to successfully work through stress using stretching exercises like yoga and QiGong.

1. QiYoga with LuChin – QiGong for Complete Balance

LuChin’s instruction is so warm and encouraging. It has been a wonderful introduction to QiGong. I’ve tried other QiGong videos, but I keep coming back to LuChin. I love when we tell ourselves “You are doing good, you will be okay!” LuChin is great at bring you out of a blue monday funk to face the day with a smile and the strength you need to get through. Thanks LuChin!

2. Yoga with Adriene – Yoga for People who sit all day

I’ve been doing Yoga with Adriene for years now. She was my first yoga instructor and is great for the beginner yoga routine. I’ve lost a ton of weight adding everyday yoga and walking to my daily exercise routine. I credit much of my continued motivation to do it EVERY MORNING! 🙂 to Adrien’s fun and accessible instruction. She has an immense catalogue, so try a few and give daily yoga a try. It’ll definitely get you motivated to face your day! and also make you look great in a dress 🙂

Doing yoga/qigong is my go to morning routine for exercise, it has helped me through some very difficult Mondays. They’re also such fun activities that I don’t really think of this as doing exercise every morning, but just how I need to start my day. They’re my my active hobbies that I enjoy doing every morning.

I make sure I get up early enough that I have enough time to do yoga/qigong before I start working. A morning stretching routine is the first thing I do after my morning coffee.

Give it a try it after your next morning coffee! Even if you don’t have 30 minutes, I’m sure you can squeeze in 10 minutes of stretching before you have to head off to work.

Then take a crafting break later today to congratulate yourself on starting your day right! 🙂 I’ll be making these butterflies during my next coffee break:

I’ll be posting the crochet pattern soon! They’re secretly a scrappy flower! 🙂 turned butterfly!

Anyways, have a great Monday. I’m glad I started mine on the right foot by doing my morning 30 minute stretching routine. Give it a try yourself! You won’t regret it! I’ll post the video links again here:

Until next time!

Happy Crafting (and Stretching!)
